User account names are used to describe the users uniquely for their sessions and home folders. The user account names are created at the start but can be also changed later in Windows 10 operating systems. There are different methods to change user account names in Windows 10 using the command line interface, User Management tool, etc. In this tutorial, we examine how to change the user account name.
Change User Account Name via User Accounts
Windows 10 provides the User Accounts
tool which is used to manage user accounts in detail. The netplwiz
command can be used to open the User Accounts tool via Start Menu.

In the User Accounts screen select the user you want to change the account name to. Then click on the Properties
button below.

In the user configuration screen, we can set User name
whatever we want. We can also change the Full name
and Description
about the user account.
